The Congo may not be a particularly large country, but we still have the second longest river in Africa, because the longest is, and has always been the Nile River. However, we have the longest network of navigable waterways in the world. The river is 2,900 miles (4,700km). The Congo River has an elevation of 5,670 feet from normal sea levels. The average flow rate is 41,000 cubic metres per minute.
Our basin is home to the second largest rain forest in the world, which holds 25% of the found flora and animal species. You will be able to see the wide variety of wildlife in all of the forest tours. We preserve the wildlife as much as possible, so that they continue to flourish, allowing us to learn from them, and how to take care of them and their habitats.
